Happiness is debt. Misfortune will come immediately after it. So, I'll give you my share of happiness.

Nagi Hachinoya

Nagi Hachinoya is a member of L4mps in 18TRIP. He is the unlucky and chill owner of "flower LAUNDRY", a laundromat and flower shop combined.

Profile[edit | edit source]

A man with a relaxed appearance. He is used to the unexpected misfortune that always befalls him, and always manages even the most unusual situations. Although he looks perpetually bored and his facial expression rarely changes, he has a humorous side as well. Nagi works part-time at a night radio station where he likes to banter about everything and make snarky comments. He likes being a tsukkomi in manzai comedy acts. He is a guy with a soft aura, making you breathe a full sigh when you're around him, soothing you with his care.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Nagi is a young man of average height and good build. He has shoulder-length grey hair that fades to a white at the ends, messily pulled back into a small ponytail. His eyes are grey, almost unanimated and dull.

He wears a dark grey shirt with a leaf-and-flower print, and grey overalls with one strap off his shoulder. On his hands, he wears black biker gloves and what looks like a black hair tie. He wears simple white high-top sneakers.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Nagi usually appears relaxed, speaking in a quiet and monotone voice. He is quite patient, barely reacting to most situations and dealing with them quite efficiently. He is almost a magnet for misfortune, as unusual things seem to occur wherever he goes. When faced with something unexpected, such as a compliment, he tends to freeze up completely.

As the manager of a flower shop, he often goes out onto the street to hand out flowers to others, describing it as "spreading happiness". While working late at night, he enjoys listening to the radio, especially enjoying manzai comedy.

However, Nagi rarely lets himself enjoy any happiness, believing that "happiness" is something like a see-saw — if he's ever too happy or unhappy, the see-saw will balance itself. As such, he tries to avoid feeling too much happiness, in order to try and restore balance before he's hit with misfortune. Despite these "preventative measures", Nagi is still quite unlucky and often experiences accident upon accident. This has led him to take quite the pessimistic outlook on life, at least regarding himself.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Nagi regularly falls from the 4th and 5th stories of buildings.
  • On his days off, he spends his time fixing up his motorbike.
